What is a microSDXC card?

The microSDXC standard supports memory capacities above 32GB up to 2TB. Devices that are compliant with the microSDXC standard can support microSDXC and microSDHC memory cards. The microSDXC standard enables the development of higher performance devices and faster transfer speeds for high-def video recording.

What is the difference between microSDHC and microSDXC?

The SDHC and SDXC standards for microSD are the same as the standards for SD. The SDHC standard supports capacities from 2GB up to 32GB and uses a FAT 32 file system. The SDXC standard supports capacities above 32GB up to 2TB and uses an exFAT system.

Is the microSDXC compatible with microSD?

Existing microSDHC devices are not compatible with microSDXC cards but microSDXC devices can use both microSDHC and microSDXC cards.
